The illegal trade in rhino horn powder, which is still considered medicine or a symbol of wealth in some Asian countries, nearly wiped out the African rhinos.
And since 2007 the number of rhino poached in Africa has increased by nearly 90%. As a result it is our duty to use all of our resources to put an end to rhino slaughter. We aim to support all rhinos (2 African species and 3 Asian species).
These species include the Sumatran rhino, Javan rhino, Black rhino, the greater one-horned rhino and the White rhino.
More about each species:
White Rhinos
Commonly known as the Square-lipped rhino, white rhinos are the African moving machines. These are the largest is Africa and can be found in the grasslands of places such as South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, eSwatini, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda
The Black rhinos are the smaller of the two African species, but don’t you worry, they are just as brave. You can find them in various southern African countries, including South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Botswana and Malawi.
Greater one-horned rhino is our semi- aquatic rhino who often takes up residence in swamps, forests and riversides. There are about 3,588 left in the world and are commonly found in India and Nepal.
The Sumatran rhinos descend from the woolly rhinos of the Ice Age,it barely looks like they have a horn, but even then there are less than 80 left in the world. These gentle giants live in dense highland and lowland tropical and sub-tropical forests.
The Javan rhino is one of the rarest large mammals on earth. There are only about 75 left in the world. These are our smallest rhino and you can find them roaming tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests.
