View of the Columbus skyline from FranklintonFranklinton: A Bright Future
A community is more than just where you live. It’s a place where you can feel comfortable, where you can be yourself. A community is a place you are proud to call home and where you are eager to see what the future holds.
Perhaps nowhere is there a brighter future than in Franklinton, where a world-class arts and culture scene has laid the groundwork for an eclectic and exciting neighborhood seeing hundreds of millions of dollars of investment.
What’s even more exciting is that, with all the great things the neighborhood has to offer, there’s much more to come. This future-focused edition of the Franklinton Series highlights all the coming attractions in the neighborhood.
A view from inside Gravity, one of the most exciting new communities in FranklintonNew Residents
Our partners at Gravity are officially open and welcoming their first residents, moving in throughout the Spring and Summer. Conveniently located on West Broad Street on the Scioto Peninsula, Gravity (more here) puts residents in the heart of it all, just a quick stroll from all the activity in Franklinton, downtown and the Arena District. It is steps from everything, yet far from the familiar. Gravity contributes to the unique entrepreneurial vibe of the neighborhood as a residential community infused with the creative energy of partners like Roosevelt Coffeehouse, Pelotonia, Cova Cowork and Rhove. It is independent, yet part of the community’s fabric.
The historic neighborhood is becoming more lively by the day as new residents move in and begin to explore and enjoy all the amenities. And there’s many more people to follow (read about Gravity’s second phase here). Every day, there are new neighbors to meet and new places to check out!

Columbus’ up-and-coming events destination is the gorgeous Scioto Mile trailway, spanning both sides of the river and offering the very best views of the downtown skyline. Head to SciotoMile.com for information about all the festivals, concerts and events coming to the riverfront.
Peninsula Project
We’ve already seen a few remarkable additions to the eastern edge of Franklinton — called the Scioto Peninsula — with the creation of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum and the new Scioto Peninsula Park outside COSI. Soon, in one of Columbus’ largest projects, 21 acres of vacant land on the peninsula will see about $500 million of investment in housing, offices, hotels, shops and restaurants.
Harley Davidson
Directly across West Broad Street from Gravity, the nation’s oldest Harley Davidson dealership is expanding in a big way, thanks in part to the support from a new program that labels the area a federal opportunity zone and is sure to bring other projects. The sleek new building will be a nice sight for Gravity residents overlooking Broad Street.
CoverMyMeds
In what marks Franklinton’s biggest corporate investment in years, CoverMyMeds is building a $240 million headquarters campus along the Scioto River, bringing more than 1,000 jobs to the community. Take a look at the stunning campus renderings here.
Mount Carmel West
Smack dab in the heart of Franklinton, the medical campus of Mount Carmel West is being redeveloped with a mix of educational and medical buildings, housing and commercial uses. Learn more about this game-changing project here.
As you can see from all the big initiatives, now’s the time to get in on the action in Franklinton and be a part of one of Columbus’ most vibrant communities.
